Search engine advertising and search engine marketing, pixel advertising, PPC search engine advertising, pay per enquiry and Boogami Doorways.
To make a real impact on the internet you need to have good PR and marketing, great ideas, deep pockets and a lot of luck. It was obvious that Boogami and James Wildish had bucket loads of ideas and a great search engine marketing team behind him prepared to invest in advertising and PR who believed in making their own luck.
Start of article about search engine advertising.
After the initial media interest, Boogami could have dropped off the map like so many other search engines but it was obvious that James had other plans. His pixel adverts were selling well but he had not come to the market as a one hit wonder; it soon became apparent that he had already planned out a number of search engine advertising developments that he rolled out; one after another along with a massive PR and marketing campaign that kept Boogami in the public spotlight.
And as Boogami developed and more and more people started to ditch their favourite search engines in favour of Boogami, it was obvious that James and his giant peach of a search engine was going to grow and grow.
Advertisers who had initially bought his pixel adverts; often just investing £100 started to increase the size of their adverts when they saw the traffic levels to their websites increase to unprecedented levels. Maybe they had just taken a small advert because they liked the idea of a young man doing something to help his parents; but now they were seeing that their initial investment could prove exceedingly profitable.
The team now backing James realised they had a winner on their hands and were managing the PR with precision timing. The cynics amongst us might think that his free pixel advertising for charities which he rolled out just a week after the official launch of his search engine was just a publicity stunt. May be it was but it soon became clear that James was going to use his search engine to help small internet business make their mark on the internet and devote much of his efforts into helping good causes.
Like all search engines, it wasn't long before he added pay per click advertising to his search engine; he would have been a fool not to as pay per click advertising is the biggest money spinner on the internet. However, his next development was to go one better than Google and launched his pay per enquiry advertising just two weeks after the initial launch.
This was an innovation and something no other search engine was offering. Whilst other search engines were charging advertisers every time someone clicked through to their site, Boogami were now offering an advertising service where you only paid for a genuine enquiry. Aimed at advertisers with high worth products and services; the opportunity to only pay for a quality enquiry, giving them the best opportunity to make a sale was going to be an absolute winner.
With PPC, advertisers pay whether they get an enquiry from the visitor or not; with PPE they only pay if they received a genuine enquiry. Advertisers could weigh up the benefits of both and manage their advertising budgets accordingly. Time will tell which proves to be the most effective and profitable for advertisers but PPE is unique to Boogami as a search engine.
